Terry Kennedy: A lifelong resident of Elkin and son of a local building contractor, Terry worked summers and holidays while in school building houses and later became a partner in his father’s business until 1988 when he obtained his Brokers license and entered the Real Estate business full time. Terry has an in depth understanding of what constitutes a well built home and has an eye for detail. Terry also is very involved with the listing and selling of land; both large and small tracts and possesses a wealth knowledge of the land here and around the Elkin area. Terry is member of the Town of Elkin Board of Commissioners, the Surry County Economic Development board of Directors, the Elkin City Schools advisory board and other committees involved with the Town of Elkin.

John W. (Bill) Overbey RF, ACF, PLS

Graduating from NC State University in 1976 with a BS in Forest Management and a minor in Forest Engineering, Bill began work with a consulting forestry firm, later working for a lumber company. After becoming a Registered Forester in the State of North Carolina in 1984, Bill started his own Forestry Consulting Firm in Elkin, NC with a partner. In 1989 Bill earned a Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of North Carolina and has dealt with all types of land properties since. In 1991 Bill was granted membership in the Association of Consulting Foresters, a national organization. In 2005, Timberbrook Forestry, Inc. was started where Bill continued serving the landowners of the northwest piedmont of North Carolina and parts of southern Virginia. In 2007, Bill completed his training and became a Licensed Real Estate Broker, bringing his 30 years experience in the land business to Kennedy Land and Homes, LLC, where he continues to assist clients in making good decisions with their Homes and Land and helping them sell their most valuable assets.
